Human beings change

The choice to place ones awareness on human needs puts the nonviolent communication practitioner in the position of becoming increasingly attuned to the constantly unfolding nature of needs and the strategies that satisfy them.  They quickly realize that all of us, all of life itself, is a dynamic processes, and not a static one  This awareness of fluidity, coupled with trained fluency in the vocabulary of feelings and needs as non-judgmental descriptors of ones inner experience, invites and encourages acceptance of where people are at on their spiritual journeys.   Paradoxically this quality of compassionate acceptance creates the necessary space for the possibility of intrinsically motivated growth, discovery, and change.
